Studio Bumi is a food experience company on a mission to highlight underrepresented cuisines, foster friendships, and alleviate loneliness in big cities through communal dining.

Each gathering features guided conversations that spark genuine connections, making every meal purposeful and memorable.
How is this helpful?
Loneliness is an epidemic in the U.S., and food is a powerful way to address it. By pairing the exploration of flavors with opportunities for connection, we create spaces where people intentionally come together to be social.
How are we different?
The city has provided so many opportunities for home cooks to showcase their culinary artistry. But I want the opportunity to add what I believe is missing to what the amazing creatives have created before me, without having to take away what they've done — and that’s connection.
Food is cool, but I don't want it to be the only art that matters. It is important for me to be able to communicate with the people I am serving. It's not just about what I can do for them, but what I can be for them. I can be a friend for the night, and in most cases, a lifetime. That's what motivated me to start building the studio head first. To create a space where people come in knowing that they will have a great meal by choosing to be social — “one less lonely friend” I used to joke. After all, food is only a meal when it’s shared. ◡̈

We design meals inspired by Indonesia’s bold and underrepresented culinary heritage and host events in mission-driven spaces across NYC.
At Just Dinner, communal dining is about more than just food—it’s an opportunity to share, connect, and be part of a meaningful experience. Guests sit together, enjoy a pre-fixe Indonesian meal, and engage in conversations designed to bring people closer.
The meal is served family-style—so introduce yourself, serve those at your table, and then yourself!
Seating is open (even standing is welcome).
It’s BYOB—bring your favorite drinks to share with the table.

Our Just Dinner experience features a carefully curated pre-fixe Indonesian dinner, designed to create a cohesive and memorable dining experience. Because of this, we cannot accommodate customizations.

Each dinner session lasts three hours, from 7.30PM unless otherwise noted in the event page.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate menu adjustments or protein substitutions.Since we prepare everything in a shared kitchen, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contact with allergens. If you have a severe allergy, please let us know, and we will do our best to work something out.

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be fair while also accounting for the preparation and costs involved in our dining experiences. Below is our comprehensive policy on cancellations, refunds, shipping, and returns for Just Dinner.
Refund Policy
Refunds are available under the following conditions:
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their ticket to a future event.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are non-refundable due to the advance costs of ingredient sourcing, preparation, and event logistics.
If Just Dinner is canceled or rescheduled by us, guests will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their ticket to a future date.
Tickets
Tickets are issued electronically via email upon purchase.
Any additional event-related communication will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.
For Studio Bumi’s other offerings, such as meal sets or food-related products, shipping details—including delivery areas, times, and rates—will be provided at checkout. If a delivery issue arises, please contact us at bagus@studiobumi.space.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible.
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future event.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to someone else—just send us an email at bagus@studiobumi.space with the new attendee's name and contact information.
If Just Dinner is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (such as venue issues, extreme weather, or other emergencies), we will notify all attendees as soon as possible and offer a full refund or credit towards a future event.
